Live Like Kevin <3

I met Kevin and Katie one fateful night at Flanigans (iykyk) for family dinner with the Bonillas and Quinlans. Though we were initially a little awkward, the waitress dropped off some crayons and kiddie coloring pages.... the rest was history.

Over the years, the Bonillas became my family's closest friends in Florida. Between the beach, volleyball at the park, and just hanging with our friends, Kevin and I grew close over the years.

So much so, that when I moved to Maryland my junior year of highschool, my mom insisted that Kevin fly out and be my prom date. Obviously, I was mortified to import an out of state prom date... But, mothers know best ;)

Kevin was the light of the party. Despite only knowing me at the beginning of the night, by the end of the night, my friends loved him! And my teachers! - because the one time I took a break from dancing, that's who I found Kevin dancing with! I shouldn't have been surprised, Kevin wouldn't waste precious time on the dance floor.

I think of the week he visited often - prom, kings dominion, and most of all, seeing an old friend again after a tough transition year. I'm forever thankful for these memories with him.
